We believe prevention is one of the key elements in dentistry.

In the dental exam, we can anticipate potential problems and detect affected asymptomatic teeth, thus preventing further deterioration and the need for more complex treatments.

During the checkup, we assess your oral hygiene and instruct you accordingly, in order to improve your oral health.

Finally, going to periodic exams and cleanings, can prevent "surprises".

The purpose of restorative treatments, is to preserve as much tooth material as possible – minimizing the extent of intervention needed.

Dental fillings and restorations allow us to rebuild the natural tooth structure, lost due to tooth decay or fracture. We use a variety of materials, each with unique features and advantages, restoring function and aesthetics in a relatively simple and fast treatment, that does not require dental lab work.

Root canal treatment is indicated in cases where the tissue inside the tooth had been infected or damaged and developed inflammation. 

During the procedure, we clean the infected tissue which resides in the root canals and seal the tooth.

Teeth post treatment often become dry and brittle and therefore prone to fracture, which may lead to extraction. For this reason, we usually place a dental crown which caps the tooth, lowering the chances for a cracked tooth.

Periodontal (gums) health is important at any age, but among the older population, the prevalence of gum disease (Periodontitis) rises, and half of the population will suffer from it.

Periodontitis is characterized by tissue inflammation, bleeding, bone loss and tooth mobility that might end in tooth loss.

Maintaining periodontal health and going to periodic cleanings, help protect the gums and the bone holding the teeth and ensure the stability of the teeth in the mouth. We believe no artificial replacement equals a natural tooth, so we take extra care in achieving periodontal health.   

Dental implants serve as a great and wide spread solution for teeth replacement. However, 1 out of 5 people might develop disease around implants (Peri-implantitis). Similar to Periodontitis, Peri-implantitis involves destruction of the surrounding tissue and bone, leading to implant loss. The main reasons for this, are poor oral hygiene or untreated gum disease.

Dr. Heyman, a periodontist (a specialist for dental implants, surgeries, and gum disease treatment), perform the surgeries, bone augmentation and dental implants, and treat patients suffering from Periodontitis (gum disease). The treatment of the gum disease, is done through educating, instructing, cleaning and maintenance. Together with the patient, and a long-term maintenance program, stabilizes and prevents deteriorating of the gum disease.

In addition to his work at the clinic, Dr. Heyman tutors dental students at Hadassah Ein karem medical center, in Periodontics since 2015.
For his study on dental implants and gum disease, he received prestigious awards.

He won the national award for research in dentistry and represented Israel in the global convention of the IADR in 2018.
